Day One - Flights and Baltimore

Today was the first day of our trip! We left on the 16th from the school at 6 PM. Some volunteers drove us down to the Seattle airport. Here is our group at the Sea-Tac Airport, waiting to board the planes.

Our flights didn't leave until 10:50 and 11:30 PM. We both arrived in Baltimore at 9:32 AM after one stop over on each plane. Needless to say, not much sleep was had by anyone!

Our first stop in Baltimore was the car rental place, were we rented two 15 passenger vans. This took quite a while, so some students got changed into clothing suitable for the hot weather, while others took a power nap.

After we left with our vans, we headed out to Inner Harbor in Baltimore. We ate brunch here at 5 Guys Burgers N Fries, and had a little free time to shop around.
There was a fantastic Barnes and Nobles here:

The Inner Harbor is also home to the USS Constellation.
There were a lot of sunglasses shops here so quite a few pairs were purchased:

From Here we headed to Fort McHenry where we received a tour from a very enthusiastic park ranger. He did his best to keep us all awake, and most of us left the fort with some new knowledge.

From here we headed on to Philadelphia, where we will be staying the night... The three hour and a half hour drive gave many people an opportunity to catch up on the sleep they had lost.
